Ernesto Aurignac is currently considered one of the most remarkable sax players in the European and international jazz scene. He has a rare talent and an exquisite and vertiginous command of the instrument and moves skillfully between the tradition linked to the Parker essence and the jazz avant-garde. With influences like Charlie Parker, Johnny Hodges and Ornette Coleman –that, with time, he has matured and injected with a new vitality--, he achieved his own, personal and very suggestive sound. Today he will be on stage as the leader of a young and talented quartet of Catalan musicians, to offer a unique concert, full of lyrism and intensity, with both his own compositions and jazz standards arrangements.
