María Esteban Quintet is a classical jazz project formed by María Esteban (vocals), Edu Cabello (alto saxophone/flute), Balsa Paz (guitar), David Muñoz (double bass) and Santi Colomer (drums), all of them graduated from the Conservatori Superior del Liceu. Their last two albums, 'Vocals Veladas', aim to give visibility, within the world of music, to women lyricists and performers of the 20th century who are cur-rently forgotten. His work revolves around six artists: Betty Comden and Carolyn Leigh (lyricists of jazz standards and Broadway musicals), Blossom Dearie (performer, pianist and composer), Ann Richards, Chris Connor and June Christy (singers).
