The calm after the storm. A collection of love and sorrow songs that talk about wounded beauty and romantic invocation, vertebrates the Ophelia repertoire, the new musical proposal of Mariola Membrives, the Cordoba singer and actress. Jazz classic songs, copla, tango and boleros alike acquire new meaning through the Flamenco identity of this emotional artist of a powerful voice. After reinventing Enrique Morente’s mythical Omega, and shining as the people’s voice in the FreeBach 212 by La Fura dels Baus, Mariola Membrives is now accompanied on stage by two leading jazz musicians: the Barcelonian Jordi Bonell and the American Bill McHenry. They both guarantee the finesse and the top quality of each of the themes performed.
