Santi de la Rubia Quartet

Santi de la Rubia premieres and leads a new show, which is the result of an artistic residency with three young talents of the Taller de Músics ESEM, in the course of which the original repertoire of each of the members of the group was worked on. Throughout his career, Santi de la Rubia has performed in many international festivals and has collaborated with musicians such as Tom Harrell, Jorge Rossy, Doug Weiss, Vinicius Gomes, Joan Monné, Martín Leiton, Juan Galiardo, Lluís Vidal, Ernesto Aurignac, Jaume Llombart, Perico Sambeat, Roger Mas, Jordi Berni, and Albert Vila, among others. After an extensive career as a sideman, in 2017 Santi de la Rubia released his first album as a leader, «Broken Line»(Underpool, 2017), a work composed of original music and some referential themes of traditional jazz, which represents a musical proposal evocative of New York jazz of the 90s, with an energetic influence of hard bop.
